Emanuele Barison was born on 12th march 1963 in Pordenone where he lives and works.

He has been working as a professional cartoonist since 1983, first for Mondadori publishing house then with Walt Disney Italia up to now.

Together with Davide Toffolo and Romeo Toffanetti he created the Scuola di Fumetto il Gorilla Bianco in Pordenone.

Toffanetti and he are the authors of Alex il Britanno; this character¹s stories have been published on il Messaggero dei Ragazzi from 1988 to 1994.

Barison also drew the Lazarus Ledd comic books for Star Comics publisher.

He has collaborated with french scriptwriter François Corteggiani, releasing two comic album series for Soleil and Glenat. Since 1999 he has been working on Diabolik stories for the renowned Astorina publishing company.

Along with writer Francesco Boni De Nobili he issued two educational comic books for Videa edizioni L'Editto di Rotari and Quasar a Pratobello.
